Our youth group (6th-12th grade) meets on Sunday mornings for Sunday School, and on Wednesday Night for our "Wednesday Night Live" Bible study. Our goal is to help our students learn more about God's word and what it looks like applied to their lives. In the process, we've come to the startling realization that we can have fun at the same time!
At Lake Village Baptist Church we realize that this age-range represents a pivotal moment in the spiritual growth of an individual, and an increasing number of students who have grown up in church tend to leave the church when they graduate from high school. While we recognize that the responsibility for the spiritual growth of a son or daughter does not lie solely, or even primarily, with the church as an organization, we also recognize the significant ministry opportunity that is represented in the lives of these students, and we want to be faithful to the opportunities that God provides for us.
